05-10-2008 - Message from the RTA - new work on Iron Cove bridge
The Roads and Traffic Authority will be working on the western side of Iron Cove bridge starting on Wednesday 8 October and is expected to take six weeks, weather permitting. Divers will work in Iron Cove from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.Watch out for the barge - there will be buoys to guide rowers around the site.The RTA wants to confirm that underwater telecommunications cables are clear of where the piers will go for the proposed bridge - they will be digging underwater trenches on the western side of the bridge.No sediment will be removed from Iron Cove and a full depth silt curtain will contain the potential spread of sediment. Leichhardt Rowing Club wins the 2006-07 NSWRA Premiership

On Wednesday 27 June 2007 at the NSWRA Annual Awards Presentation dinner at Sydney Rowing Club LEICHHARDT ROWING CLUB was announced as the winner of the 2006-07 NSWRA Premiership point score. The club also won 3 other major awards & trophies: The Men's Senior point score Trophy , the Women's Senior point score Trophy and the Winner of the Super 8s Series. The club was also runner up in three other events and 3rd in most others excluding the School Boy and Girls events.

Congratulations to all the participating rowers, coxes, coaches and supporters and club committee all of whom have helped to achieve this tremendous result for the club in its 120th season - It was a truly magnificent club effort beating the Sydney University Rowing club and Sydney Rowing Club who were the runners up.

More details and photos of the presentation of the awards trophies to the various club representatives that attended the dinner will be published as soon as possible.

Now here is the inspiration for us all to go one better next season and repeat this effort and win again in 2007-08.
