Notes 1 Full time students over 18 may apply to the Club Captain in writing for approval to pay at the School Student rate in return for contributing to the club by coaching (corporates, learn to row, juniors) and maintaining specific boats. 2 This is a specific category available only to approved parents and their children. Each and every member of a family membership who intends to compete during the season must pay the race fee of $300. 3 A Coxswain/Coach does not row but regularly attends the club as a coxswain and/or coach. If he/she subsequently wishes to row, then he/she needs to upgrade their membership to full rowing membership level by paying the appropriate difference in fees. 4 The Associate Non-Competing member is referred to as a ‘social’ rower within the club, and usually rows on Sunday mornings. 5 A Guest Affiliate is an approved full member of another rowing club who uses LRC’s facilities and/or boats on an occasional basis. 6 A Supporter member is approved to visit the shed regularly but not to use the club’s boats and/or gym equipment. This category is not intended as an alternate option for active members.
Current members • Members who have not paid their subscriptions will not be entered in races. • Subscriptions are due and payable on 1 July each year. • Any unpaid memberships will lapse on 31 October each year. Thereafter, lapsed members will not be entitled to use the club’s facilities. To reactivate memberships, the appropriate reactivation fee must be paid together with all the appropriate outstanding subscriptions. • Any member experiencing genuine financial hardship should approach the Club Captain. The club will accommodate genuine cases as much as possible, and also accepts payment by instalments, by arrangement. • To receive the Prompt Payment Allowance, current members must pay their subscriptions no later than 1 August. • Annual subscriptions for Senior Competing and Junior Members (excluding Family Memberships) cover the cost of all race entry fees for the current season. No additional race entry fees will be payable. All ‘failures to start’ must be for a legitimate reason, otherwise these face fees will be payable by the relevant member. Race entry, especially to championships, is subject to committee approval. Any member(s) incurring race fines is personally responsible for paying them. • Life Members who intend to compete regularly must pay a race fee of $300, which will cover all their race entry fees for the season • Only the Club Captain is authorised to respond to queries on subscriptions.
New members • Subscriptions and joining fees for New Memberships are due and payable upon submission of an application to join the club. • To receive the Prompt Payment Allowance, new members must make their payments no later than one month after first accessing the clubhouse facilities.
